What a great man. What a wonderful prophet.
Somehow, it seems like he has been a part of our lives almost forever. He has been the prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for 17 years, so that is more than half of my life. He will be missed.
I am sure there are a lot of posts about this particular topic, so bear with the repeats of all the things I will miss.
His kindness
His generosity
His humor
His talks
His warm smile
His love for the gospel
His love for all people, members or not.
This great man will be missed.

When I heard the news last night, I was sad, but this morning I woke up with such a feeling of joy and peace. He is so happy right now. All I can picture in my mind is his sweet wife anxiously awating his arrival home. It's beautiful to me.
Also, I keep thinking of the millions of spirits that were happily awaiting his arrival to thank him for bringing so many temples to the earth. Can you even imagine how many people had their work done because of this great man's inspiration? I get chills every time I think about it.
It's funny, when I first heard, I just felt happy for him. Then the next morning I cried, because I loved the same things you wrote about, and we will miss those things so much.
I've read so many posts about President Hinckley in the last couple of days. I loved yours. So simple, succinct, and heartfelt.
I agree.
