While lurking, I found inspiration

{Today}

Today I was complaining to Boyscout how tired I am of having to remind my kids to obey. I am tired of asking at least 4 times before anyone moves, reacts, or acknowledges that I have spoken. I am frustrated that I am constantly doing laundry today. I have straightened, tidied, fixed, and remade almost every surface today. Its still messy.

So selfishly I decide to take a break {for only the 3rd time today} and this time I will surf the internet, read my friends blogs, chat with my hubby online, etc. Its a quarter to 6, and I should be in the middle of making dinner. My children are hungry, but I need this break.

I get to the last blog on my reader. Its one of my dear friends. She always has good things for me to read over there. It was a simple post, one I didn't really expect, but remember, I'm having my time out, so I will indulge.

(I can't get blogger to move the video, so watch it now, then come back. Don't forget to turn off the music.)

I really can't imagine. I really don't want to. I love my disobedient kids. I will kiss my hubby when he gets here. I will get up from this computer and build the best dinner I can in the short amount of time I have and we will sit and be grateful for the food, time together, and all our blessings. I am grateful. I feel blessed. I am happy.

Thank you SO much for sharing this. I feel so inspired to do better as a mother and wife and daughter. I love you Tiff, I've been thinking about you lately. Every time I get off of the freeway on the 53rd exit I think of you and how you saved me from the horrible freeway.
I hope all is well, and that you are continuing to be happy.
Thanks again for sharing.

I watched this video too on my friends facebook page. So sweet and tender. Hey, I added you to our family blog if you want to check it out! (www.welcometomorrowland.blogspot.com) Let's hook up next week okay dear friend? Thanks for the invite the other day to go shopping. Invite me again next time I'm not asleep from exhaustion (which I was when you text me. Sorry!) Happy Mother's Day manana!

It's so true. Watching Stephanie go through this (even if I'm just a stranger peeking in on her blog) really does put it ALL into perspective.
