Yesterday, Today, the next 2 Weeks

There seems to be SO much to do lately. It seems that no matter how much I do, I just don't see the progress I should for so much effort. Its like it reproduces itself when I turn my back. How I will ever get this house packed and ready in only 4 1/2 weeks?

Today feels very productive though...

  • Washed my bedding. Now my bed has crisp clean bleachy smelling sheets on it! yum!
{Maybe now I will sleep better?}

  • I have done umpteen loads of laundry. I have umpteen towels, which 3/4 are packed and 1/4 are still out for our using.
Of those umpteen loads, Boyscout now has all 16, yes, 16 dress shirts hung nicely in his closet, waiting to be worn to the clinic. The only one that is not, is the one he is wearing today.
  • I scrubbed the tub, toilet, and sink today.
  • I washed mirrors.
  • I took out garbage.
{this is not my job, but I was feeling nice, i guess?}
  • I found time to work out today!
  • I made Boyscout's healthy breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks today.
All before 9:30AM.
{and NO sandwiches}
  • Cleaned out Peanut's dresser. Its ready to be sold!
  • Put away the kid's winter clothes!!! yay! Spring is here!
  • Went to the bank.
  • Went to the store for fresh pineapple.
{we just can't get enough!}

  • Made Teriyaki Pork Chops for dinner.
  • Loaded the dishwasher.
Although it has been a productive day, I still need to:

Pack more boxes
Bath the kids
Mop the kitchen
Vacuum the rugs & upstairs
Prep for the Yard Sale
Do my nails

Read my book

Boyscout being in Part IV Board Review sure has given me lots of time to accomplish all of this. He leaves around 7:30 am and returns home around 10:30 pm.
Every day. For the next. two. weeks.
That is how much of a PRIORITY it is for him to pass this $1200 test. Yes, I said $1200. That's not even counting the review. It was $600.
I will be SO GLAD when its all OVER!!!
Even though we will be paying it back FOR. EVER.

And finally, a little conversation I had with Peanut yesterday at the grocery store:

P: mom, can I ride in the cart when we go inside?

Me: Um, I wasn't planning on getting a cart.

P: You know, the ones you push like this...
{she demonstrates pushing a imaginary cart}

Me: I don't think we really need a cart. We are just here for one thing. Rice.

P: Oh...Then you can just carry me...

Me: Um. No. Your 6. You get to use those legs of yours!

P: You can just carry me...like a dead animal!

Me: WHAT?!?

I think you got tons accomplished! I know the feeling of still not getting everything that you wanted done, done.

I feel ya. Been there a few months ago. But I'm impressed with all you have done. I love the comment about the dead animal. Kids are hilarious and say the funniest crap.

Don't kids say the darndest things?! :)

And your next comment was something about Peanut becoming a dead animal if she kept it up, right? Okay, maybe not. Glad to hear you're getting stuff done. We're going to miss you guys, though. Let me or B. know if you need more help sometime. At least give us a heads up for the moving day if nothing else. We would love to do more if you need it, though.

Whew! that is exausting. Ok so have a little funny for ya. So I was driving to Wenatchee earlier this week and I was crusing down the highway when this blue pacifica blazed by me and also the car that was in front of me. When I looked over all I saw was Paula chatting it up on the cell phone and Reed taking advantage of that, I am sure. I then pulled up next to them in town, honked, rolled down my window, and said,"Your a pretty good driver for and old guy!" I think I caught him off guard. But Paula and I had a good laugh. Anyway I hope that you can maybe take a little time for yourself this weekend and enjoy your mothers day. Happy Mothes Day!
