Or maybe I should say my Late Obsession.
We shut off our TV about 2 weeks ago, to prepare for the upcoming move and save ourselves from the satellite bill that was ever growing. SO HARD! We are HUGE TV watchers and now we just sit and stare at one another. Not that this is always bad :)
I have never loved to read. I enjoy it ONLY when the story is SUPER great. I don't read books that are recommended to me very often. I especially don't read them when the characters or story line are of NO interest to me, even if all they can say is good about the book. It really has to GRAB me for me to read it.
Recently, I have let my friend persuade me into a few good books. I know, a little shocking. Then I decided that I wanted to watch a movie that was just released to see if I would like to read the books...She said she would not lend me her copy of the movie until I read the first book. So, I decided that I would give it a try.
The drawbacks, were that its about teenage vampire love. BORING. I don't care for tween stuff, and I DO Not Do vampire stuff. ever.
Nevertheless, I find myself SO wrapped up in it. I finished TWILIGHT in 2 days. I watched the movie, though not as good as the book. It was a nice story, I really enjoyed it. But on to book 2. It was ok. I am not a huge Jacob fan. But by the end, I was riveted and dying to get my hands on book 3, mind you its only been about 4 days since I started the series. I got book 3 and 4 at the same time. I read Eclipse in one day! Breaking Dawn took me a couple days, cause by this point I was suffering from EXTREME insomnia. I was too worked up to even sleep. All I wanted to do was READ!!
My great husband let me. I had a really hard time cooking, cleaning, sleeping bathing, etc.
So, now I am all wrapped up in reading it all over again and catching even more of all the great details.
I know I'm only about a year or so behind the trend, but I can't wait to see the next movie in November!
Of course all this was after the kids went back to school and I was home alone during the days.
Now, this week, it was brought to my attention today that we have between 7 and 9 weeks left here in the mid-west!
The 'movers' (mom & dad) will be here sometime the end of May or first of June. I better get packin'! I might be posting things on here that we want to get rid of. Let me know if you want anything. Otherwise, its going to the yard sale pile!

Ok so I do not read books either and I could not put down the book either I read it in 3 days only cause Tate is still at home. Then I finished the next two in the next two weeks I havent read the 4th yet but am trying to find time to sit down and do it. I am procrastinating because I do not do anything else. Its good you read the book firsst because you probably would not have read the book. I thought the movie was cheesy.
Ok so I have another comment...
We are going to be moving at the same time! We are moving to sandpoint Idaho. I swore that I would never live in Idaho. I guess I shouldn't swear! Shane is leaving tomorrow and I am going to be going with the kids when they get out in June
Hey Tiff!!!! I am so excited you turned your T.V. off. We turned ours off about 2-3 months ago. We figured it was too expensive and we needed to watch less tv anyway. Well we are still paying for it because we need to internet. So we're paying $90 a month for internet. Crazy huh...actually more like ridiculous.
Love the first book, I couldn't stop reading it either.
Hey, I am always looking for a good deal garage sale find. Tell me when you are holding it. I want to keep decorating so I need old frames and furniture, a dresser for the kids, stuff like that. Doesn't need to be super nice, a can of spray paint is my latest best friend. Let me know.
P.S. I can't believe you are leaving so soon. It goes by way too fast for us who get left behind by our friends. I'll miss you! I think I should make a recording of Buzz so I can play it during church. It just won't be the same without him.
Glad you joined the obsessed reading club. It's weird how you can't put them down! I read The Host that Stephanie also wrote and it take a bit to get into, but its another cant put down and its nice and LONG! :)
SUCKAH! I can't believe you let your friend let you get bitten!
That's what friends are for!!!!!!!!!!
You can thank me more later! (0:
Just kidding!
I am glad you liked them so much! Some people aren't into them, but I really enjoyed them a lot! It's funny, because I don't know if you remember, but I first mentioned them to you in November when we went Visiting Teaching together for the first time! Isn't that halarious!?
I read The Host. It was good. It did take a while for me to get into it, though.
It's sad you are leaving. We will miss you! M keeps asking to go to your house and play! What are we going to do when we can no longer go to your house and change a diaper! Hopefully we won't have to fly out to see you so that she will need a diaper change!
I would love to hear what you need to get rid of (not that we have tons of room, but who knows!).
I am also glad that you have liked the other books I lent you. Remember to borrow the kids one when you are ready!
Oh, and there were 2 others that you might be interested in.
PS No, you may NOT take my books when you leave!!! (0:
I found your blog off of Becky's and I happen to think that it is super lame that you are leaving the midwest!!! But good for you:) And I will probably want to partake in the buying of your stuff...especially if you are selling a dresser??????
